Abstract:While the relationship between Creativity and entrepreneurial intention has been discussed before, it lacks the investigation on the heterogeneity of the college students. Based on a national survey of data and Ordered Logistic Regression model, this paper explores the impact of college students' creativity on their entrepreneurial intention, and examines the differences between urban and rural college students. It finds: Both the score of creativity and the score of risk taking, curiosity, imagination and challenge of urban students are higher than the that of rural students. On the contrary, the entrepreneurial intention of rural students is stronger than that of urban students. The creativity has a significant positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial intention, while the household variables moderates their relationship that the effect on the urban students is more stronger. The results show different influnece mechanisms of entrepreneurial intention between students from rural and urban area, which should be pay attention to in entrepreneurship education and practice of college students.
