Abstract:With the advent of the knowledge economy, universities have gradually moved to the center of society. The functions of the university are constantly changing with the needs of society. The first-class university serving the regional economic and social development is a prominent feature of achieving its own functions, and it is also the only way to pool school resources and achieve connotative development. This research analyzes the current situation of economic and social development in some first-class universities serving the region, points out problems such as the quality that needs to be improved, the imbalance in service development, and insufficient implementation of agreements. In the research, the viewpoint of developing existing resources in the university, focusing on optimizing the service system, and promoting the coordinated governance of the government, universities, and enterprises to comprehensively improve the university"s ability to serve regional economic and social development.
