Abstract:In order to enhance the overall regional innovation strength and achieve high-quality cooperation and development between China-ASEAN, the data of co-authored papers and economic geography of China-ASEAN countries from 2000 to 2019 were selected from Web of Science core collection database. Social network analysis and negative binomial regression model are used to explore the evolution and influence mechanism of China-ASEAN cross-border regional innovation network. The results show that the innovation links between China-ASEAN countries are increasingly close, but the scale and quality of innovation coordination are unbalanced, and China and Singapore are the core nodes. The pattern of innovation network has evolved from "dual-core + multi-node" to multi-core and is becoming more and more perfect. The level of economic development, the level of opening to the outside world, the technical level and the language difference between countries have a significant reverse relationship with the possibility and scale of innovation cooperation, and the technological proximity is the state of "strong and weak combination" among node countries, while the geographical distance is not a significant factor that impedes the innovation connection between countries. According to the research conclusion, in order to promote the continuous improvement of the China-ASEAN cross-border regional innovation network, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions, such as improving the China-ASEAN cross-border regional innovation cooperation mechanism, expanding the channels of cross-border regional innovation cooperation, and improving the supporting system of cross-border regional innovation.
