Abstract:Based on the panel data of 34 cities in three Chinese coastal urban agglomerations from 2009 to 2017, the coupling coordination relationship between technological innovation and green development is estimated by using the Coupling Coordination Model and the obstacle degree of each factor is calculated by using the Obstacle Degree Model. The results show that: Firstly, both of the technological innovation and green development index of the three urban agglomerations keep growing steadily. From large to small, the order of the average value of the two indexes is Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomerations. There is significant imbalance in the development of both technical innovation and green development in cities within each urban agglomeration. Secondly, the coupling and coordination relationship between technology innovation and green development of the three urban agglomerations have been improved continuously. The Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta urban agglomerations are in the running-in stage, while the Beijing Tianjin Hebei urban agglomerations is still in the antagonistic coupling stage. Generally, the coupled development between technology innovation and green development in the three urban agglomerations is imbalanced, indicating that the coordination relationship needs to be further improved. Thirdly, the parameters have the influence of each parameter on the coordinated development between technology innovation and green development differs slightly among the three urban agglomerations. The main obstacle factors that restrict the coupled development between the technology innovation and green development are innovation input, output, reserve and green life construction.
