Abstract:Strategic knowledge disclosure, as a new way to protect technological innovation achievements, is deeply favored by enterprises and academic circles. However, there is a lack of relevant research on which technological innovation it is suitable for. In order to study the relationship between exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation and strategic knowledge disclosure, based on reviewing relevant literature, a panel database was constructed by collecting data from 110 listed companies in the pharmaceutical and communication equipment industries. After empirical analysis, the research concludes that both exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation will promote enterprises’ strategic knowledge disclosure, but the role of exploratory innovation is more significant. And the role of exploration innovation in promoting corporate strategic knowledge disclosure has obvious industry differences, that is, compared with discrete technology industries, complex technology industries will use more strategic knowledge disclosure when conducting exploratory innovation. But exploitative innovation does not have obvious industry differences in the enterprise"s strategic knowledge disclosure. Meanwhile technological diversification will positively moderate the impact of exploratory innovation on corporate strategic knowledge disclosure. Through the study of the relationship between innovation and corporate strategic knowledge disclosure, the article enriches the theory of strategic knowledge disclosure, expands the applicable boundary of strategic knowledge disclosure, and also helps companies use strategic knowledge disclose in technological innovation to protect achievements and gain advantages.
