Abstract:Based on the theory of planned behavior, this study introduces entrepreneurial traits and divides the entrepreneurial environment into policy environment, economic environment, educational and cultural environment. This study uses SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 24.0 software to construct a structural equation model of Hong Kong and Macau students’ entrepreneurial intention, and questionnaires to collect data from 689 mainland universities’ Hong Kong and Macau students to explore the factors affecting their entrepreneurial intention and the differences in their entrepreneurial intention on demographic variables. The results found that entrepreneurial attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, entrepreneurial traits, and entrepreneurial environment have a significant impact on the entrepreneurial intention of Hong Kong and Macao students. In terms of entrepreneurial intention, boys have higher entrepreneurial intention than girls, Hong Kong students have higher entrepreneurial intention than Macau students, students in Bay Area have higher entrepreneurial intention than students in non-Bay Area, and students majoring in science, engineering and medicine have lower entrepreneurial intention than students majoring in humanities and social sciences. Finally, in order to improve the entrepreneurial intention of Hong Kong and Macao students and enable them to better fulfill their mission, We propose an entrepreneurial support system,from the perspective of entrepreneurial environment and cultivating innovative talents, integrating training, ecology and resources to supports Hong Kong and Macao students from mainland universities starting their businesses.
