Abstract:Abstract:Based on the Internet and its regional innovation data from 2007 to 2017, this paper discusses the spatial evolution characteristics and innovation effects of the Internet industry in China's provincial regions by using gravity model, network analysis, gravity center model and spatial econometric model. The results show that: The development level of the provincial Internet is improved significantly, but the geographical distribution shows a step-like distribution from east to west. Meanwhile, the cold hot spots show the development trend of “focusing”, and the hot spots are mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai; China's Internet space structure gradually from a simple linear structure to a more complex spatial network structure, the Internet space between each region is getting closer and closer, the center of gravity coordinates of the total Internet space links from north to south, from east to west “W-shaped” drift characteristics; Regional innovation level also shows a non-random spatial clustering effect among provinces. Under the promotion of the Internet economy, regional innovation ability is gradually strengthened. Full-time equivalent of R&D personnel and government supply orientation have a significant positive impact on regional innovation.
