Abstract:It is helpful for enterprises to subdivide the self-determined innovation capability and technology-seeking behaviors in choosing the matched technology-seeking strategies with the development stage of self-determined innovation capability. Based on the system view, knowledge-based view and competence-based view, this paper constructs a system dynamics model of "trigger factors→technology-seeking behaviors→self-determined innovation capability". By using Vensim software to simulate the model, this research finds the co-evolution mechanism of enterprise technology-seeking behaviors and self-determined innovation capability. The results show: (1) Under the influence of environmental turbulence and innovation willingness, the co-evolution process of technology-seeking behaviors and self-determined innovation capability has interactive and nonlinear characteristics; (2) With the development of self-determined innovation capability from the basic stage to the advanced stage, the effects of advanced technology-seeking, emerging science technology-seeking and emerging experience technology-seeking behaviors are increasing, while the role of mature technology-seeking behavior continues to decrease; (3) Environmental turbulence has a negative regulating effect on self-determined innovation capability, while innovation willingness has a positive regulating effect on self-determined innovation capability. Based on the research conclusions, this paper proposes that enterprises need to select the technology-seeking strategies matching the development stage of self-determined innovation capability, strengthen knowledge accumulation in the process of seeking technology, pay attention to the balance between internal adjustment and external environment, and formulate and implement positive innovation willingness guidance strategies.
