Abstract:To improve the function of circulation node cities by industrial innovation and then drive regional economic growth is the inherent requirement of building a new channel of land and sea in Western China,However, whether the functional division of cities along the line with different innovation bases contributes to regional economic growth remains to be verified.Based on the data of 12 hub cities along the new road from 2007 to 2018, this paper makes an empirical study from the perspective of industrial innovation management, the results showed that: There is a positive "U" type nonlinear relationship between the functional division and regional economic growth of the hub cities along the new land sea corridor in Western China, but most of the hub cities along the corridor are on the left side of the inflection point of functional division; In view of the function division level of the north line hub city is better than that of the south line hub city, according to the current trend, the functional division of the North hub city will be earlier than that of the southern hub city in the future, which will play a positive role in promoting regional economic growth.
