Abstract:With the deepening of globalization and the spread of the stock era, international competition is increasingly focusing on the development driving force brought by innovation. The construction of urban agglomerations, represented by the integration of innovation elements of different cities, has become an important grasp for countries to realize regional synergy and innovation synergy. The urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of Yangtze River is one of the most promising urban agglomerations in China and the most representative national central urban agglomeration, which plays a key role in supporting the strategy of building the rise of central China. This paper focuses on two key research issues: structural characteristics and influencing factors of technology innovation cooperation network in the middle reaches of Yangtze River urban agglomeration. By using patents as the data source, this paper proposes a comprehensive and systematic analysis model of technology innovation cooperation network in urban agglomeration. It is found that: the technology innovation cooperation network in the middle reaches of Yangtze River urban agglomeration as a whole shows the characteristics of strong intra-provincial cooperation relationship and weak inter-provincial cooperation. The lack of intermediaries in the region hinders the efficacy of knowledge, information, funds and other dissemination, and reduces the willingness to cooperate to a certain extent. The geographical proximity has an inverted U-shaped relationship with the technology innovation cooperation network performance and is on the rise, which can positively promote the technology innovation cooperation. The interaction between geographical proximity and institutional proximity positively promotes technology innovation cooperative network performance, and the interaction between them is greater than their independent effects separately. To a certain extent, this paper complements the research record and exploration in the central region, and the proposed analysis system of technology innovation cooperation network in urban agglomerations can also provide some references for subsequent studies.
