Abstract:On the basis of 5G development, two new Synthetic mechanisms of upgrading manufacturing, “5G+independent technological innovation” and “5G+consumption upgrading” are put forward in this paper, and explores the dynamic mechanism of manufacturing upgrading. Empirical analysis shows that 5G can change production mode, management style and business model to push the manufacturing upgrading. At the same time, it also can drive the manufacturing to upgrade by acting on independent innovation and consumption upgrading. “5G+independent technological innovation” and “5G+consumption upgrading” have a significant positive impact on manufacturing upgrading. The two new drivers can significantly promote the upgrading of highly correlated manufacturing industries with 5G, but have no significant effect on the upgrading of medium and low correlated manufacturing industries. The implications of the research conclusions for promoting the upgrading of China's manufacturing industry include: the state should further support the development of the new generation of information technology from the aspects of policy, capital, talent support and guarantee and patent protection; Manufacturing enterprises should actively introduce and make full use of 5G and other new generation information technologies, timely grasp the dynamics and development trend of consumption upgrading, and actively introduce and cultivate high-quality and professional talents.
