Abstract:From the perspective of intellectual property protection, this paper explains the complex nonlinear evolution theory mechanism of offshore service outsourcing industry upgrading. Based on the panel data of 27 service outsourcing demonstration cities, this paper uses OLS regression and fixed effect regression to study the impact of intellectual property protection on the upgrading of offshore service outsourcing industry, The impact on the upgrading of offshore service outsourcing industry of type II Service Outsourcing demonstration cities is greater than that of type I cities; The impact of intellectual property protection on the upgrading of offshore service outsourcing industry presents an inverted U-shape; The average actual intensity of intellectual property protection in China's service outsourcing demonstration cities is lower than the "optimal intensity" of intellectual property protection. This study provides a new direction for the transformation and upgrading of China's offshore service outsourcing industry under the new normal from the perspective of intellectual property protection.
