Abstract:To explore how disruptive innovation implements cross-border behavior and analyze the impact of the external environment on the cross-border process. Based on the theory of disruptive innovation and innovation diffusion, we adopt a single-case study approach to coding data and systematically analyzing the cross-border activities in the hard disk industry, and construct a model of the whole process of diffusion of cross-border disruptive innovation, with cross-border as the keynote, including four stages of search, involvement, diffusion, and disruption, which are closely connected and influenced by the technological environment, market environment, policy environment, and competitive environment, forming a framework of the process of realizing cross-border disruptive innovation; at the same time, we conclude that the main characteristics of cross-border disruptive innovation are more explosive and competitive, as well as more complex process management, which requires cross-border integration of various resources and forces.
