Abstract:Based on the patent grant data from 2005 to 2018, the comprehensive evaluation index of regional innovation is constructed. The spatial analysis method and spatial econometric model were used to explore the spatial and temporal pattern of technological innovation and its economic effects in the Yellow River Basin. The results show that :(1) The scale, quality, vitality and comprehensive level of technological innovation in the Yellow River Basin are constantly improving, and the level of technological innovation varies greatly among different cities, and the Moran index shows an "inverted U" pattern, which increases first and then decreases. (2) the comprehensive level of technological innovation presents the spatial pattern of east west high low, with higher levels of innovation areas are mainly distributed in the provincial capital cities and key regional urbanization, three innovation indicators of urban agglomeration were significantly higher than the average level of the Yellow River basin, the Shandong peninsula urban agglomeration and Zhongyuan urban agglomeration highest technological innovation level; (3) Technological innovation has a significant economic promotion effect, and the innovation scale has the most significant promoting effect on the innovation development of the Yellow River Basin, followed by the innovation quality and innovation vitality; The economic promotion effect of innovation is not significant in non-urban agglomeration areas. The conclusions of this study can provide scientific reference for the high quality development and scientific and technological innovation policy formulation of the Yellow River Basin
