Abstract:To explore the role of organizational ambidexterity in promoting corporate eco-innovation and its specific influence mechanism, we combine three types of organizational ambidexterity: leadership ambidexterity, structural ambidexterity and contextual ambidexterity, and explore the influence mechanism of different types of organizational ambidexterity on corporate eco-innovation and the moderating role of environmental dynamics on their relationship. Research based on questionnaire data from 650 companies shows that leadership ambidexterity and structural ambidexterity have a significant positive impact on corporate ecological innovation, but contextual ambidexterity do not have significant effects. Structural ambidexterity plays an intermediary role between leadership ambidexterity and corporate ecological innovation. Environmental dynamics positively regulate the relationship between structural ambidexterity and corporate ecological innovation, as well as the intermediary role of structural ambidexterity. Based on the findings, it is proposed that building organizational ambidexterity is an important guarantee for the orderly promotion of corporate eco-innovation, realizing leadership ambidexterity is a prerequisite for integrating different types of organizational ambidexterity, and establishing structural ambidexterity is an important way to promote corporate eco-innovation.
