Abstract:Based on data of 273 A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2019, this paper uses a negative binomial regression model to analyze the characteristics of green technology innovation behavior of my country's agricultural listed companies under voluntary environmental regulations. The results found that, first, under the voluntary environmental regulation, the green innovation activities of enterprises have the heterogeneous characteristics of “emphasizing utility over invention”. Environmental regulation has a significant effect on increasing the number of utility appearance patents and reducing the number of invention patents. This conclusion is still established after endogenous treatment and robustness test; second, the interactive item results of environmental management and innovation capabilities show that after the environmental management awareness and innovation foundation of agricultural enterprises are organically combined, voluntary environmental regulations have an impact on the company’s green technology That impact has changed from negative to significantly positive. The conclusion provide micro-evidence for my country's agricultural enterprises to improve their environmental management awareness and the government to optimize the path of agricultural environmental governance.
