Abstract:Researchers play a vital role in disruptive technology breakthroughs. Based on the event system theory and affective event theory, this paper uses empirical analysis to explore the impact of technology embargo events on researchers’ disruptive technology innovation engagement behavior under Sino-US trade frictions, and introduces a dual mediation path of harmonious work passion and obsessive work passion to explain the mechanism between them. The results show that the criticality of technology embargo events positively affects researchers’ innovation engagement behavior, and harmonious work passion mediates between them. The disruption of technology embargo events has a significant positive impact on researchers' innovation engagement behavior through the dual mediation of harmonious and obsessive work passion.
