Abstract:Due to the difference in research data and method selection, the literature on China"s industry global value chain participation and status measurement has reached inconsistent research conclusions, which affects the accurate judgment of China"s industry global value chain participation and status. To this end, this article combs through the special measurement literature under the analysis framework of “Total Export Value Added Decomposition-Global Value Chain Participation and Status Measurement Index-Measurement Data Source”, and then studies and judges the global value chain participation and status of Chinese industries. The study finds that the existing literature reaches a consensus in the following aspects: industry global value chain participation and status evolution trend, comparison of the degree of participation and status in the global value chain between the manufacturing and service industries, and comparison of the degree of participation and status in the global value chain among manufacturing of different technical levels, producer service industry and life service industry. But there are also research differences in the following aspects: the specific degree of participation and status in the industry"s global value chain, the way of participating in the global value chain of the service industry, and the status of the global value chain of the manufacturing industry segment.
