Abstract:In the era of digital economy, data as a factor of production has changed the traditional value creation mechanism. This paper analyzes the components and mechanism of agricultural data value chain, and finds that data, as a new agricultural production factor, forms a data value chain with digital activities combining agricultural production, sales, logistics and monitoring. Data makes the weak agricultural industry turn to intelligence, standardization and digitalization. Data shows the network effect, scale effect and learning feedback effect of big data through connecting, gathering and recreating activities, which makes agricultural industry and related enterprises show an increasing trend of return to scale. Products, data products and product data have become the new source of profits for enterprises. The overlapping advantages of "products" and "data" as well as the platform advantages, data advantages and information advantages of data collection constitute the new competitive advantages of enterprises.
