Abstract:Based on the five helix theory, we evaluated the spatial~temporal distribution law of coupling and coordination of green innovation system in 30 provinces from 2008 to 2019. Taking 30 provincial administrative regions in mainland China as the research object, we used spatial Dobbin model to explore the main factors affecting the coupling and coordination of green innovation system. The results show that in the time dimension, the coupling and coordination degree of green innovation system in Chinese provinces is increasing year by year. In the spatial dimension, the coupling coordination degree of green innovation system presents the characteristics of East > Central > West > Northeast, and the gap of coupling coordination degree among provinces increases. Only some developed provinces have entered the coupling and coordination stage, and there has been a trend of mutual promotion among subsystems. Most provinces are still in the state of coupling imbalance, and the negative interaction between subsystems is significant. It is found that the level of marketing, openness and urbanization have a significant improvement and spatial spillover effect on the coupling and coordination of green innovation system. Financial autonomy and industrial structure upgrading have no significant impact on the coupling and coordination level of green innovation system. In the future, all provinces should combine their own resource endowments and make use of the coupling of high level green innovation to coordinate the positive spillover effects of provincial marketing level, opening up level and urbanization level, so as to promote the coordinated development of green innovation system in the region.
