Abstract:In order to promote Hainan Province to break through agricultural resource constraints and improve agricultural production efficiency, the growth rate equation method and fixed elasticity coefficient method are applied to measure the contribution rate of agricultural science and technology progress and factor contribution rate of Hainan Province and its cities and counties from 2006 to 2019, and to study the characteristics of its spatial and temporal evolution and spatial differences with regional agricultural economic growth. The results show that: in terms of time series, the contribution rate of agricultural scientific and technological progress in the province is on a straight line upward trend, scientific and technological factors have become the main driving factors, and the overall agricultural production mode is at the stage of transformation from extensively expanding and reproducing to connotatively expanding and reproducing by scientific and technological progress. The regions with lower contribution rate of scientific and technological progress still rely on a large amount of material factor inputs to promote agricultural economic growth. Based on this, countermeasures are proposed to promote the progress of agricultural science and technology in Hainan Province from three aspects, such as transformation of scientific and technological achievements, optimization of resource allocation and cultivation of talent team.
