Abstract:In order to accelerate the transformation of Hubei Province from a large province of intelligent manufacturing equipment to a strong province, the patent econometric analysis method is adopted, the number of patents related to intelligent manufacturing equipment and technology is retrieved in the incoPat database, the data is cleaned by International Patent Classification(IPC) and Cooperative Patent Classification(CPC), and the current situation of intelligent manufacturing equipment industry both internationally and domestically as well as in Hubei Province is also analyzed. The research found that: (1) The number of related patent applications in the field of intelligent manufacturing equipment in China ranks first in the world, and shows obvious regional agglomeration characteristics, of which the number of patent layouts in East China is the largest; (2) The intelligent manufacturing equipment industry in Hubei Province has developed rapidly during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, but its technological research and development strength is not outstanding enough; (3) Patent applications in the field of intelligent manufacturing equipment in Hubei Province are mainly concentrated in Wuhan, Xiangyang and Shiyan, and the technology research hotspot is high-end CNC machine tools; (4) There is a significant gap between the development level of informatization in Hubei Province and the domestic advanced provinces, the lack of independent research and development technology, and the overall level of systematization and integration is not high. Based on the analysis conclusions, this paper puts forward suggestions such as speeding up the industry-university-research collaborative innovation in Hubei Province, and creating a pilot area and a demonstration area for intelligent manufacturing equipment.
