Abstract:In view of the lack of quantitative and empirical studies on the impact of scientific and technological innovation on logistics in the west bank of the Pearl River, an input-output index system of logistics industry in the west bank of the Pearl River is constructed, then the super-efficiency three-stage data envelopment analysis model is used to measure the logistics efficiency excluding environmental factors from 2011 to 2020. The second stage stochastic frontier analysis is used to analyze the influence of related factors of scientific and technological innovation on the efficiency of logistics industry. The results show that there are great differences in logistics industry efficiency among cities on the west bank of the Pearl River, and the overall logistics comprehensive technical efficiency is not high, which is mainly due to the low scale efficiency, especially in 2005 and 2006 there is a low turning point of comprehensive technical efficiency; government support and information service input have a great impact on logistics efficiency, and environmental variables have a significant impact on logistics efficiency. Finally, suggestions are put forward to improve the high-quality development of the logistics industry in the west bank of the Pearl River, such as improving the level of regional coordination and developing a logistics industry dominated by the market and supplemented by the government.
