Abstract:It is increasingly prominent that the digital economy leads the high-quality development of the economy. The fact that the development of my country's digital economy has entered the forefront of the world has attracted extensive attention from the international community and has become a worry for developed countries. As an important growth pole and power source for my country's high-quality economic development, the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle shoulders the mission of the engine of the digital economy. Based on the panel data of 16 prefecture-level cities in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle from 2014 to 2019, combined with the current situation of digital economy and high-quality economic development in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the development levels of the two were measured and evaluated respectively, and the gray scale was further used. Correlation analysis method was used to construct a coupling coordination measurement model of the two for empirical analysis. The results show that: (1) The degree of coupling coordination between digital economy and high-quality economic development in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is low, the level of digital economy development cannot be coordinated with high-quality economic development, and the contribution of digital economy to high-quality economic development is low. (2) The degree of coupling and coordination of the two in the economic circle is generally on the rise, indicating that the role and contribution of the digital economy in promoting high-quality economic development is gradually increasing; (3) The degree of coupling and coordination between the two in each city in the economic circle is different, and the number of cities in each city is increasing. The contribution of the economy to promoting high-quality economic development varies, resulting in an uncoordinated development trend. Based on this, policy recommendations for the digital economy of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle to promote high-quality economic development are put forward.
