贸易开放、研发投入门槛与区域科技创新——基于中国省级面板数据的实证

Trade Openness, R&D Input Threshold and Regional Scientific and Technological Innovation: An Empirical Study Based on Provincial Panel Data in China

摘要:

利用中国2005—2019年省级面板数据,建立了以研发资金投入和研发人力投入为门槛变量的门槛面板回归模型,实证分析了贸易开放水平对区域科技创新的作用机制。研究结果表明贸易开放对我国区域科技创新的影响存在明显的研发资金投入单门槛效应和研发人力投入双门槛效应：从研发资金投入来看,在低研发资金投入地区,贸易开放对区域科技创新有抑制作用；在高研发资金投入地区,贸易开放对区域科技创新的抑制作用有所减弱。从研发人力投入来看,在低研发人力投入地区,贸易开放对区域科技创新有抑制作用；在中等研发人力投入地区,贸易开放对区域科技创新有促进作用,但促进作用不明显；在高研发人力投入地区,贸易开放对区域科技创新有显著促进作用。进一步研究表明,我国各地区的研发投入存在明显的时空异质性。

Abstract:

Based on the provincial panel data of China from 2005 to 2019, this paper establishes a threshold panel regression model with R D capital input and R D labor input as threshold variables, and empirically analyzes the mechanism of trade openness on regional scientific and technological innovation. The results show that trade openness has obvious single threshold effect of R D capital input and double threshold effect of R D labor input on regional scientific and technological innovation in China. From the perspective of R D capital input, trade openness has a restraining effect on regional scientific and technological innovation in regions with low R D capital input. In regions with high R D capital input, the inhibition effect of trade openness on regional scientific and technological innovation is weakened. From the perspective of R D labor input, trade openness has a restraining effect on regional scientific and technological innovation in regions with low R D labor input. In the middle R D labor input region, trade openness has the promotion effect on regional scientific and technological innovation, but the promotion effect is not obvious. In regions with high R D labor input, trade openness has a significant promotion effect on regional scientific and technological innovation.
