Abstract:China is currently in a critical period of industrial restructuring. By linking the real economy, the Internet can promote the deep integration of industries, grasp the new opportunities of digital development, and finally promote the upgrading of industrial structure. This study tries to reveal the impact of China"s Internet development on industrial collaborative agglomeration and structural upgrading, explore whether the regional differences of Internet development levels in eastern, central and Western China have a heterogeneous effect on industrial collaborative agglomeration and structural upgrading. Empirical results shows that the improvement of the development level of the Internet will promote collaborative agglomeration, and then promote the upgrading of industrial structure, and collaborative agglomeration plays an intermediary role. The results of regional heterogeneity test show that the development of Internet significantly promotes the collaborative agglomeration in the central and western regions, the intermediary role of collaborative agglomeration exists only in the central and western regions.
