Abstract:As an important criterion to realize the symbiosis between science and technology and society and advance social well-being, the importance of corporate technology for social good has been widely concerned by academia and industry. However, the research on the difference between the antecedent paths that trigger mature and growing enterprises to participate in corporate technology for social good lags behind. Based on the systematic review of concepts and antecedents of corporate technology for social good in previous literatures, this study uses multi-case analysis to extract the multiple antecedents of corporate technology for social good in mature and growing enterprises. Moreover, based on qualitative comparative analysis, this study deeply analyzes the heterogeneous configuration paths that trigger corporate technology for social good of mature and growing enterprises. This study also proposes that the antecedent paths of the corporate technology for social good of mature enterprise can be integrated into three types: enterprise vision and mission induced type, audience demand induced type, and technical ethics induced type. What’s more, the antecedent paths of the corporate technology for social good of growing enterprise can be integrated into two types: potential risks of products induced type and technical ethics induced type.
