Abstract:Since the IPCC AR5-WG I report was released in 2014, it has provided a framework guidance for human activities and scientific research. When IPCC-AR6 is released, a comprehensive assessment of the impact of IPCC AR5-WG I on scientific research is of great significance for understanding its role in scientific research. This study uses the Web of Science Citation Database to collect the citation title data of the IPCC AR5-WG I report, and comprehensively shows the value of the IPCC AR5-WG I report from the dimensions of time sequence, geographical region, institutional cooperation, academic influence and subject field. The research suggests that the cited amount of IPCC AR5-WG I shows an upward trend year by year, the cited regions and disciplines are widely distributed, the four fields of academic influence diffusion are coupled with each other, and the theme of academic diffusion shows a trend from wide to focus, from dispersion to integration in three stages, which has a certain reference value for the scientific research on the impact of policy reports in the future.
