Abstract:In the digital economy era, cross-border innovation(CBI) has gradually become an important tool for enterprises to break through the boundaries of industry, organization, and geography to achieve new value creation. In recent years, enterprise CBI research has gradually enriched. However, the research topics are scattered and fragmented, and they lack a systematic analysis of their conceptual dimensions, antecedents, and consequences. This research based on the grounded coding and refinements of the literature on CBI, and then explores and identifies the subject of the research on enterprise CBI, which is composed of four core themes: the concept and dimensions of CBI, the antecedents of CBI, the behaviors of CBI; the mechanism and consequences of CBI. The research constructs the CABC research framework of “Concepts-Antecedents-Behaviors-Consequences” , and porpose the future research directions, which mainly include clarifying the construct dimension of CBI and developing scales for different modes of CBI, examining the impact of multi-antecedents and their interaction on enterprise CBI, exploring the dynamic mechanism of enterprise behavior and decision-making of CBI, analyzing the relationship between CBI and performance, and how mechanisms and contextual factors play a role between this relationship.
