Abstract:Based on the relevant data of import and export trade and industrial development of high-tech industry in Guangdong Province from 2000 to 2020, this paper evaluates the international competitiveness of high-tech industry in Guangdong Province by using the trade TC index, and dynamically tests the influencing factors of the international competitiveness of high-tech industries in Guangdong Province by constructing a vector autoregressive model based on the diamond model. The research finds that: Compared with the whole country and various provinces, the international competitiveness of the high-tech industries in Guangdong Province is generally in a competitive disadvantage. Only the computer and communication technology industries have strong competitive advantages, and the photoelectric technology and life science technology have certain competitive advantages;local R&D investment, foreign direct investment, financial development level and policy environment are important factors that affect the international competitiveness of high-tech industry in Guangdong Province. Finally, based on the conclusions of this study, this paper puts forward policy recommendations to enhance the international competitiveness of high-tech industry in Guangdong Province.
