Abstract:At the moment when China is embarking on the road of digital transformation of higher education, in order to further explore the strategies and specific measures for universities to promote digital transformation, focusing on the micro level, the digital transformation of higher education is defined as the process of innovation and transformation of higher education institutions using digital technology as the basic support, in terms of educational concept, educational model, teaching content, learning environment, management system, and other aspects. Taking the relevant development practice of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore as an example, this paper analyzes the motivations and experiences of its digital transformation, so as to provide reference for accelerating the innovation and transformation of higher education in China. The analysis shows that national strategy leading, digital technology driving and endogenous development are the drivers of the digital transformation of Nanyang Technological University. The measures at the strategic, activity, and support levels, including formulating digital transformation strategies the strengthening interdisciplinary education to cultivate innovative talents, innovating teaching modes, building a smart campus, and consolidating digital infrastructure construction are the specific paths of its exploration and practice. Nanyang Technological University's practical initiatives to build a new form of digital education provide the following insights for China's universities to promote digital transformation: formulating a roadmap for digital transformation, cultivating interdisciplinary talents, strengthening the construction of digital infrastructure, and improving the guarantee mechanism for digital transformation.
