Abstract:The rapid development of digital technology and its deep embedding in innovation activities have triggered the upsurge of digital innovation research, whereas previous studies are still fragmented. By combing the latest research literature on digital innovation, a logical framework model of I-inputs, P-processes and O-outcomes is constructed. The input factors of driving digital innovation, such as technological, organizational and environmental, are clarified, the distributed, open and reorganized of innovation process mechanism are analyzed, the direct output and indirect consequences of digital innovation are discussed according to typologies, and Problems to be solved concerning digital innovation studies are also elaborated. Our findings provide a systematic decision-making references for digital innovation practices and theoretical research.
