Abstract:Based on the statistical information of global patents of aeroengine industry foundation, this paper compares and analyzes the current situation of different countries in two dimensions of technology and market with patentometrics methods. The study discovers that China obtains numerical superiority in the areas such as blade manufacturing while leaving blanks in bearing and ultra-high strength steel, its applicant types contains industry, university and scientific institution with a low ratio of IUR cooperation, its innovation influence lacks despite numerical rising with a low rate of technology transfer and a nearly blank international patent portfolio. According to analysis results, the advantages and disadvantages of China’s aeroengine industry foundation innovation are concluded, the suggestions that demand-oriented collaborative innovation should thrive, advanced technologies should expand their reach and crucial technologies should make breakthroughs are put forward.
