Abstract:Considering the knowledge synthesis and compatibility of standards, this paper explores and breaks the bias that most of the previous related studies believe that technological complexity and diversity will hinder innovation, and further enriches the research on the innovation of complex product manufacturing systems. Based on the theoretical model of standard formulation as the dependent variable, the patents, standards and other related data of 30 rail transit equipment system product manufacturing enterprises in China from 2000 to 2016 were collected, and the influence of the basic technical characteristics of enterprises on the formulation of standards and the moderating effect of resource integration ability were empirically analyzed. The results show that the diversity and complexity of enterprise technology foundation are conducive to standard formulation, and technical complexity has a stronger promoting effect on standard formulation than technical diversity, and the resource integration ability enhances the positive impact of technical complexity on standard formulation, and weakens the positive impact of technological diversity on standard formulation. Accordingly, it is proposed that complex product manufacturing enterprises with high degree of technical complexity can focus on improving their ability to gather resources in different fields and control resources, and enhance their resource integration and leading role in the cooperative innovation of complex products, while complex product manufacturing enterprises with high degree of technical diversity need to control their resource integration ability at a certain level.
