Abstract:Based on the provincial data from 2013 to 2021, this paper adopts the double decomposition method of weighted coefficient variation to analysis the spatial, industrial and changeable decomposition of digital industry’s inequality. The results show that:(1) the digital industry’s inequality is decreasing year by year, and the inequality between the eight regions is the main reason for the overall inequality. (2) There are obvious differences in the contribution of various digital industries to the regional development inequality, and the electronic information manufacturing industry contributes the most. (3) There are obvious regional differences in the contribution of industrial development differences within the eight regions to the inequality, with the northern coastal region making the largest contribution. (4) The inequality changes of the whole, within and between regions are mainly caused by the concentration effect. On this basis, in order to promote the coordinated development of China's digital industry, countermeasures and suggestions are provided from four aspects: basic research, development of regional advantageous digital industries, coordinated development between industries, and correct understanding of the inequality.
