Abstract:Artificial intelligence technology has triggered a new round of change and has received widespread attention. However, the academic research on the psychological and behavioral reactions of employees triggered by the application of artificial intelligence technology is still at the preliminary stage; In addition, few literatures pay attention to the behavior strategies. Based on conservation of resources theory, this research explores the behavioral strategy, mechanism, and boundary condition for employees to respond to the application of artificial intelligence technology. The data from 305 supervisor-subordinate dyads were selected by using the time-lagged and multi-source method, and hierarchical regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The research results show that the application of artificial intelligence technology triggers the employee’s proactive learning behavior. The job insecurity plays a part of the mediating role between the application of artificial intelligence technology and the employee’s proactive learning behavior. Employee’s proactive personality positively moderates the effects of the artificial intelligence technology’ application on employee’s proactive learning behavior through job insecurity.
