Abstract:Compared with the traditional innovation ecosystem theory, digital innovation has a central position in the digital innovation ecosystem, and existing research on the digital innovation ecosystem is still at a preliminary stage, there is an urgent need to explore its conceptual connotation, core features, and operational mechanisms. To expand the theoretical boundary of the innovation ecosystem, it adopts the literature research method and theoretical deduction method to analyze the conceptual connotation and components of the digital innovation ecosystem from the concepts of "digital innovation" and "innovation ecosystem", and construct the theoretical framework of digital innovation ecosystem from the micro level of the enterprise, the meso level of the industry and the macro level of the country by drawing reference to the paradigm of innovation ecosystem research. Combining the two major theoretical systems of the digital ecosystem and innovation ecosystem, it proposes that the six elements constituting a digital innovation ecosystem include producers, consumers, enablers, operators, researchers, and ecological environments, and reveals that it has five core features: modularity, adaptability, diversity, growth, and symbiosis. Using the conceptual model method to construct a theoretical model of the digital innovation ecosystem to analyze its operation mechanism, it is found that the stable evolution of the digital innovation ecosystem mainly relies on the orderly operation of four aspects, namely, the heterogeneous innovation resources integration mechanism, the digital innovation capacity enhancement mechanism, the digital value realization mechanism, and the digital collaborative governance mechanism. To ensure the healthy operation of the digital innovation ecosystem, the types of innovation subjects within the system should be enriched and a value symbiosis and synergy system should be established for the three levels of enterprises, industries, and the State.
