Abstract:The rise of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology has sparked an information revolution in the field of architecture. This article reviews the current research status of multidimensional architectural information models and the application of BIM technology in schedule, cost, quality, safety, and environmental management. Based on existing research, it proposes a system for data management using multidimensional architectural information models that considers the concept of the project life cycle. The article provides detailed explanations of the specific details of this model"s architectural framework for data management in terms of time, cost, quality, environment, and safety dimensions. It then validates the feasibility of project life cycle data management based on multidimensional architectural information models through the implementation of a BIM-based project data management system in a construction project in Xi"an. Finally, the research in this paper is summarized and the future research in this field is prospected.
