Abstract:The brain-computer interface(BCI) technology has now passed the conceptual period and entered a new stage of rapid development in standardization and standardization, entering the "technology and industry explosion period" and competition in brain computer interface technology has begun. The article compared the technological competition in the field of BCI between China and the United States based on bibliometrics and patent analysis. The research has found that research and development funding institutions in the field of BCI in the United States were more diverse and focused on application-oriented basic research. In China, funding institutions were relatively single, and the main recipients of funding mainly carried out pure basic research. In terms of patent development, China and the United States respectively focused on different fields of research on the application of BCI. Universities were the main innovative entities conducting research on the application of BCI in China, while the United States mainly included enterprises and universities. China's application for invention patents was mainly in domestic, while the United States placed great emphasis on the layout of patents on a global scale.
