Abstract:Research universities serve as the main force for basic research and the vanguard of national strategic technological strength. Accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological (S T) achievements is an important task for building a technological strong country. Based on the theories of Organized Innovation and the Triple Helix Model, a framework, Organized S T Achievements Transformation is proposed. By conducting a case analysis of the S T achievements transformation practice at MIT and Columbia University, experiential insights are provided from the perspectives of institutional construction and resource allocation for the development of the organized S T achievements transformation system in research universities. It is necessary to promote the professional transformation and upgrade of technology transfer offices in research universities, strengthen the establishment of proof-of-concept centers, and provide support for academic entrepreneurship. Additionally, there is a need to increase resource inputs in the weak links of research universities, including enhancing the development of engineering teams and technology brokers in research universities, and improving industry-academia research collaboration platforms to increase the supply of application scenarios.
