Abstract:Energy storage system is an important supporting technology to achieve the "double carbon" goal and complete the energy revolution. Based on the bibliometric method, analyzed the distribution of global energy storage technology fields, the annual changes in the number of energy storage patent applications, the composition of energy storage patent technologies, the countries/regions where energy storage technology patents are applied, the distribution of global energy storage technology institutions and patent technology themes, and further analyzed the development trend of global energy storage patent technology. The results show that: The number of global energy storage patent applications is increasing rapidly, of which battery energy storage accounts for the largest proportion. China's energy storage technology patent applications account for 66.21% of global related patent applications, followed by Japan and the United States; major institutions include State Grid of China, Toyota Motor Corporation, Hitachi Group, etc.; the patented technology topics mainly focus on lithium-ion batteries, battery anode materials, heat exchangers, energy storage modes and equipment, etc. New energy storage systems, primarily based on battery storage, are rapidly developing and possess significant growth potential. The development of the energy storage industry must continue to adhere to independent innovation, strengthen technological breakthroughs, and promote the research and development of core technologies, enabling China's energy storage industry to occupy a favorable position in global competition.
