多层次网络嵌入与众创空间创新绩效——基于双元创新行为的中介模型

Research on Multi-network Embeddedness and Innovation Performance in Coworking Spaces: Intermediary Effect of Ambidextrous Innovation Behavior

多层次网络嵌入能否有效推动众创空间提升创新绩效仍然存在争议。基于网络嵌入理论和知识创新理论,构建“多层次网络嵌入—双元创新行为—众创空间创新绩效”模型,探讨多层次网络嵌入影响众创空间创新绩效的内在机理。基于306家众创空间中小企业的调查数据,运用结构方程模型和bootstrap方法进行实证检验,结果表明：(1)关系嵌入、结构嵌入、知识嵌入对众创空间创新绩效均有显著的正向影响。(2)双元创新行为在多层网络嵌入和众创空间创新绩效中的链式中介作用存在较大的差异,双元创新行为在关系嵌入与创新绩效间的链式中介效应显著；在结构嵌入与创新绩效间发挥并行中介作用；利用创新行为在知识嵌入与创新绩效间发挥部分中介效应。(3)组合效应分析表明,关系嵌入和知识嵌入存在叠加效应,而结构嵌入和知识嵌入存在抵消效应。研究结论揭示了多层次网络嵌入影响众创空间创新绩效的内在机理,为网络嵌入下众创空间创新绩效提升路径的制定和实施提供了参考。

Abstract:

Previous empirical studies have explored the impact of network embeddedness on innovation performance from different dimensions, but no consistent conclusion has been reached. Based on network embeddedness theory and knowledge innovation theory, this study constructs the "multi-network embeddedness - ambidextrous innovation behavior - innovation performance research model, and analyzes the internal mechanism of multi-network embeddedness affecting innovation performance in coworking space. This study uses 306 questionnaire survey data of small and medium-sized enterprises in coworking spaces in Fujian Province. Amos and bootstrap are utilized to test the effects and chain intermediary effects. The results show the following: (1)The total effects of relationship, structural and knowledge embeddedness on the innovation performance of coworking spaces are positive and significant; (2) There is a significant difference in the chain mediating role of ambidextrous innovation behavior in multi-network embeddedness and the innovation performance of coworking spaces. The chain mediation effect of ambidextrous innovation behavior between network relationship embedding and innovation performance is significant and positive. Ambidextrous innovation behavior plays a parallel mediating role between structural embedding and innovation performance. The using innovation behavior play a part of the mediating effect between knowledge embedding and innovation performance. (3) The combination effect analysis shows that there is superposition effect between relationship embeddedness and knowledge embeddedness, while there is offset effect between structural embeddedness and knowledge embeddedness. The findings provide a reference for formulating and implementing mechanisms for improving innovation performance.
