Abstract:Technological innovation is an important way to break through the key neck technology. However, there is little research on the impact of ambidextrous learning and organizational resilience on technological innovation. Taking manufacturing firms as research object, drawing on organizational learning theory and dynamic capabilities theory, this research divides ambidextrous learning into exploitative learning and exploratory learning, explores the influence of two types of ambidextrous learning on manufacturing firms’ technological innovation. The research considers two types of organizational resilience, namely prospective resilience and improvisational resilience, and examines the mediating role of organizational resilience and the moderating role of big data analysis capability. The results show that exploitative learning and exploratory learning not only have significant positive effects on technological innovation, but also have significant positive effects on prospective resilience and improvisation resilience. Prospective resilience and improvisational resilience have significant positive effects on technological innovation, and play a partial mediating role between exploitative learning, exploratory learning and technological innovation respectively. Moreover, big data analytics capability positively moderates the relationship between exploitative learning, exploratory learning and technological innovation. The study clarifies the mechanism of ambidextrous learning on technological innovation in manufacturing firms, and expand research on organizational resilience and technological innovation.
