Abstract:G60 S&T Innovation Corridor is an important carrier to implement the integration strategy of Yangtze River Delta. This paper studies the innovation performance of G60 S&T Innovation Corridor from the perspective of technological niche. Using the panel data of prefecture-level cities from 2012 to 2021, this paper empirically examines the direct influence and spatial spillover effect of the width and overlap of technological niche on the innovation efficiency of cities in the G60 S&T Innovation Corridor by constructing a spatial Dubin model. The results show that: the niche width of unrelated technology significantly reduces the innovation efficiency of each city, the niche width of related technology significantly increases the innovation efficiency, and the overall width of technological niche is unfavorable to the improvement of innovation efficiency. The overlap of technological niche has a significant effect on innovation efficiency. In terms of spatial effects, the width of technological niche has a significant negative spillover, and the overlap of technological niche has a significant positive spillover. The research conclusions provide theoretical reference for implementing high-quality collaborative innovation of G60 S&T Innovation Corridor and promoting the innovation integration strategy of Yangtze River Delta.
