Abstract:The new energy automobile industry is an international strategic competitive industry, but the research on how to achieve disruptive innovation in new energy automobile enterprises is insufficient. In view of this, BYD is selected as the case study object to analyze the development process and basic characteristics of BYD. The grounded theory is combined with the qualitative analysis software Nvivo 11 to encode the relevant data. This paper proposes that the theoretical framework of BYD "s disruptive innovation process includes : ( 1 ) Through multi-dimensional coding, 305 open codes, 34 concepts and 10 categories are obtained, and there are obvious differences in the basic characteristics and key factors of the process at different stages. Secondly, BYD "s disruptive innovation has the process mechanism of " technology paradigm renewal-production chain integration-mainstream market subversion ", and follows the logical relationship of " precondition-interactive strategy-achievement result ". The research conclusions further enrich the theoretical system of disruptive innovation in the field of new energy vehicles, and provide theoretical reference and decision support for enterprises to achieve disruptive innovation.
