Abstract:In order to deepen the industrial cooperation between China and ASEAN under the upgrading of CAFTA3.0, the service level index is adopted to analyse the service level of manufacturing industries in China and ASEAN from different R D densities, and it is pointed out that China"s input and output service levels are far superior to that of ASEAN as a whole in the manufacturing industries of the four technological types and that the gap between the two sides is increasing, but there is a more obvious heterogeneity from the perspective of the countries: in terms of the service level of inputs, China and Thailand are at a comparable level in low-tech manufacturing industries, and Singapore and others are catching up with China in low-tech and high-tech manufacturing industries. In terms of input servicing level, low technology manufacturing industry is comparable between China and Thailand, low and medium technology manufacturing industry, Singapore is catching up with China, and high technology manufacturing industry is the most prominent in Thailand; in terms of output servicing level, China is in the middle level, and is lower than a lot of ASEAN countries in low and medium technology manufacturing industry and high technology manufacturing industry. Based on the above analysis, relevant policy recommendations are proposed for the transformation and development of China"s manufacturing industry and the improvement of servitising level.
