Abstract:S&T societies and science and technology innovation complement each other and are important social forces driving national innovation development. Through cross-case comparison of large samples, statistical analysis and normative analysis, the characteristics and patterns of development of global S&T societies are summarized. It is found that global S&T societies are increasingly showing ten major development trends, including agile governance, integrated functions, ecological business, corporate operations, ubiquitous services, open resources, popular influence, joint organizations, globalized cooperation, and advanced status. The current situation and trends in the development of global S T societies are of great value in promoting S&T societies to better serve the development of global science and technology innovation and to promote science and technology for the benefit of human society.
