Abstract:As a critical technology leading a new round of industrial revolution, artificial intelligence has a great impact on economic development. Using CiteSpace, this paper conducts bibliometrics and knowledge map analysis of the literature related to artificial intelligence and economic development from 2003 to 2022. The results show that, in terms of research progress, the research on artificial intelligence and economic development has increased significantly since 2017, showing the characteristics of interdisciplinary and multi-field intersection. And the interdisciplinary cooperation abroad is more frequent than that in China. The domestic cooperation network is fragmented, and the core network is not obvious, which is still in the initial stage. For aspect of research content, researchers mainly focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on employment, economic growth and industrial integration, but no consensus have been reached. As for research methods, related research shows a development path of "qualitative-modeling-empirical". Currently, empirical analysis has gradually become the main method, but there are still great limitations in the measurement of artificial intelligence indicators. Future research can further focus on AI index measurement, the change of innovation model brought by AI, and AI policy analysis.
