Abstract:Research in the field of power grids is booming, and related scientific research results are increasing year by year. Clarifying the development context of the entire field of power grids plays a decision support role for policy makers to choose development directions of high value. As an important manifestation of technological innovation, patent literature provides valuable information resources for technological research and development and the development of power grid technology. Based on this, this study collected 1,101,154 patent data in the power grid field published before 31 December 2022, and used the key route main path analysis method to study the power grid field, aiming to reveal the key research directions and development laws of power grid technology.The results show that the development of power grid technology can be divided into three main stages: basic exploration and initial implementation, advanced optimization of wireless transmission and reception technologies, and advanced energy management and system integration. These stages reflect the industry's growing demand for energy efficiency, intelligent management and sustainable development. In addition, the development trajectory of power network technology shows several key directions, including efficient energy transmission and intelligent management, system integration and multi-functional integration, safety and environmental friendliness, diversification of application areas, and technological innovation focusing on optimising user experience.
