Abstract:As the backbone of the national innovation-driven development strategy, the steady improvement of the TFP for “Specialized, Fined, Peculiar and Innovative” enterprises is a strong support for building a high-quality development pattern. Based on TOE framework and combined with NCA and QCA methods, this paper uses 85 A-share listed “Specialized, Fined, Peculiar and Innovative” enterprises from 2013 to 2022 as samples to explore the (fs-QCA) paths to improve TFP of enterprises; and uses region as the grouping criterion to explore whether there is heterogeneity in the mode of TFP driving the “Specialized, Fined, Peculiar and Innovative” enterprises in the eastern and other regions of China. The research findings are as follows: (1) Technical, organizational and environmental factors are the key conditions for achieving TFP improvement of “Specialized, Fined, Peculiar and Innovative” enterprises, but a single factor does not constitute a necessary condition. (2) There are four ways to improve TFP of “Specialized, Fined, Peculiar and Innovative” enterprise, namely autonomous breakthrough type, technology-oriented, resource-driven, internal and external coupling type. (3) China"s eastern region and the other regions have different paths to the same destination, the former depends on capital support and economic level, the latter depends on human resources to make up for other deficiencies. Based on the above conclusions, this paper puts forward some relevant suggestions.
